ACTIVITY
Ah, John 3:16. The first verse many kids memorize. But that’s what Christmas is about, right? God loving us so much He sent His Son. Even the secular world equates Christmas at least partially with love or at least spending time with loved ones.
Let’s make a handprint heart.
- White cardstock
- Red acrylic paint
- Wipes, wet washcloth, or wet paper towels for cleanup
Print out this page on white cardstock, one for each of your children. You can also skip the printing and write your own caption on your cardstock.
Paint your child’s hands red (one at a time to prevent too much mess) and press them on the cardstock one at a time.
Have them keep their fingers together and pointed down to the words, but in the middle of the page. The fingers of the handprints will overlap to form a heart.
Let it dry. You can trace a heart around the handprints if they don’t look enough like a heart on their own.
Hang it up for all to see!
